This is an example of one of the uses where our website may be helpful for people doing their family history.

Michael contacted us saying “Hi I’m from Belfast and saw your entry on the Biggins family, Ballinrobe; very interesting. Please see the following page from my website and Biggins info down the page”.

Michael had been checking out the Biggins family name and then followed this up by contacting them here in Ballinrobe; he says “I was actually in contact with this family in Ballinrobe when I was writing up this soldier’s story. He is probably from the same extended family”.

The other mentioned names [Loughran, Furey, Caulfield, Carr, McNamara & Devenney families] MAY have had some family connections here in Ballinrobe, but this is an interesting example of one man’s work on his family history.

Michael also has a website on the 69th Pa. Volunteer Infantry "Pennsylvania's Gallant 69th" see
