Dr. Mulloy's research informed us about the Courthouse

By Averil Staunton

Dr. Shelia Mulloy [late of Westport] and mother of Dr. John Mulloy, GMIT Galway and Castlebar provided research which informed us on Ballinrobe Courthouse which was built in 1752.

Dr. Mulloy of was of the opinion that “Ballinrobe Courthouse" was the only one in the county unchanged since 1798”.

Ms. Noelene Beckett Crowe. M.G.G. of the of the Mayo Genealogy Group provided background on Dr. Mulloy and some of her achievements.

The MGG Group welcome members of the public who are interested in finding out more about the steps to researching their Family History.

Visit them on the 2nd Saturday of the month, from 11.30am to 1pm at the National Museum Turlough Park, Castlebar. No attendance fee or booking required.
