While in Ballinrobe three weeks ago to find some information about my grandfather Peter James Garvey (eventually found his father's grave in the Ballinrobe Priory) I came across " Peter Garvey " written into a stone on Church Lane across from a supermarket parking lot! Just walking by!! What a surprise.

I am sure it was not my grandfather who did that, but it was a nice omen - I found my great grandfathers's grave the next day. Thanks to Peter for making my day!!

My name is 10 feet to the right chiseled by my other brother Mike the same day, I was 3, bit young for chiseling!

It is opposite the carpark on Church Lane, beside where our old house and later drapery shop used to be. Peters name is also carved there.

He spent days doing this, he was 13 years old at the time. Great to see it up here, cheers.
