The Ballinrobe Active Retirement Writer’s Group was set up many years ago and revived in 2010. Many of the members were scribblers over the years and gladly accepted funding for a book from the South West Mayo Development Co. when the opportunity arose.

A facilitator, Mr. John Corless, was also provided by Leader and under his guidance the groups’ craft was honed with the resulting very successful launch of their book, which is a miscellany of writings.

The collection of articles in their book reflects a diversity of interests, styles and strengths with the resulting mixed bag of delights. One can dip into the book again and again.

The publication was launched at Ballinrobe Library in November 2011 and is available in local shops at €12.00 per copy.
